 Titan Thursday FAQs

What is a Titan Thursday webinar?

A Titan Thursday webinar is an online event is an interactive video broadcast that students can participate in by asking questions and providing feedback. We currently use BlueJeans as the online platform for these events, which allows students to see our presenters in HD quality video and participate in the discussion directly via video (using a webcam), audio (using a microphone), or text.

What are the technical requirements to attend a Titan Thursday webinar?

BlueJeans support most modern computers, include PCs running Windows 7 or later, and Macs running OS X 10.9 or later. For the best experience, we suggest you install the desktop software when prompted. A webcam is required if you plan to participate via video, and a microphone is required to participate in the audio discussion. For more information about system requirements you can visit the BlueJeans System Requirements page. Apps are also available for Apple and Android devices.

How can I participate in the discussion?

Again, students can participate in the discussion directly via video (using a webcam), audio (using a microphone), or text. We encourage students to ask questions or make comments via audio or video whenever possible, as it allows for a freer flowing discussion.

What if I require accommodations?

If you require accommodations, please contact Christopher Harvey, Executive Director of Student Success, at Harvey.Christopher@spcollege.edu at least 3 days prior to the event.

What if I am interested but am unable to attend at the scheduled time?

The webinar will be recorded and made available within 5 days of the event. The recorded video will include closed captioning.
